Located on the northwest side of the Big Island, Vista Waikoloa is nestled in the rain shadow of Mauna Kea on the sunny Kohala coast.
It gets about one-third the rain of Kona and has no air quality problems from the volcanic activity on the southeast side of the island, about 100 miles away.
